Veneers are thin, semi-transparent tooth colored shells that are custom made from porcelain. Veneers are permanently bonded to your visible natural teeth.
Veneers can completely transform your smile. They are often a viable alternative to crowns, and an ideal solution in the treatment of cosmetic flaws.
Receiving veneers typically requires at least two dental visits to complete the process. Teeth are prepared for placement at the onset of your initial visit. Dr. Navid cleans your teeth thoroughly and removes any previous restorations that will impact placement.
She then takes an impression of the teeth receiving veneers, and sends the impressions to a lab where your porcelain veneer is fabricated./p>
On your second visit, your teeth are cleansed once more to assure a secure bond, and the veneers placed with a bonding resin. Dr. Navid uses a special light to cure the bond. She then shapes and polish the veneer to look like a natural tooth.
