Insurance and Payment Plans

Petaluma Family Dentistry gladly accepts insurance and payment plans to cover your dental care. We believe everyone should have access to care, and can assist in setting up a personalized payment plan. We will take care of the details during the billing process, making payment a breeze.

Financial Policy

We are committed to providing you with the highest level of service during your treatment process and believe a standardized financial policy provides clarity regarding payments. Your estimated co-payment (the amount not covered by your insurance) is due at the time of service and may be adjusted after the time of treatment once we have a final reconciliation of your insurance payment.

  • Payment of any account balance is due in full within 20 days of your statement date.
  • We gladly accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, check, or cash.
  • Payment plans are available upon request through CareCredit, pending approval.
  • We offer a 5% discount for cash payments at the time of service.

Insurance Information

Our office team takes pride in helping you navigate your insurance claims. We do our best to provide you with an estimate of insurance coverage before the onset of your treatment plan. As a courtesy, we will gladly file your insurance claims.

If we are not in your network, we can still provide dental care to you and your family! Many of our patients use out-of-network insurance and still receive the same customized care, at a similar cost. Many patients find that they save money despite being out-of-network because we establish long-term plans that are clinically successful yet cost-effective. Dr. Navid and the Petaluma Family Dental team work tirelessly to identify the best plan for your goals while minimizing overall costs.

We provide quality and comprehensive care to all of our patients, regardless of insurance status. Your health and well-being are our priority. We work with insurance companies as your advocate, maximizing your benefits.

Dr. Navid has treated members of our community since 1967, and we have a deep understanding of the ins and outs of dental insurance. We use our knowledge to maximize the benefits of your insurance plan, ensuring that your family receives the best possible care. We are available to answer any questions you may have about insurance or payment plans.

Do I Have to See an In-Network Dentist?

No! While your insurance provider may have a list of preferred dentists, you always have the right to choose the best provider for your oral health. We proudly offer out-of-network care and other flexible payment options to ensure you receive the treatment you deserve.

How Does Out-of-Network Care Work?

Being out-of-network doesn’t mean you can’t use your dental insurance. It simply means we are not contracted with your provider. However, most insurance plans still cover a significant portion of your treatment costs. Coverage amounts vary based on your plan, but many patients find that out-of-network care remains affordable.

At Petaluma Family Dentistry, we help simplify the reimbursement process by:

  • Submitting insurance claims on your behalf
  • Answering any questions about coverage and benefits
  • Providing transparent pricing and payment options

Do I Need Dental Insurance to Be Treated?

No, dental insurance is not required to receive care. Many of our patients choose to pay out-of-pocket for their care.
